Room Attendant - On Call
The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while following company standards and safety procedures, including timely cleaning of guest rooms and bathrooms on a daily basis. We are looking for on-call Room Attendants for our Housekeeping Department who will be able to embrace our service culture and greet all guest encounters with a warm smile and welcoming personality, while efficiently and effectively meeting guest service expectations.
The Laundry Handler Attendant is responsible for handling and sending out all housekeeping linen to the outside laundry service. The attendant is also responsible for the receipt and distribution of all housekeeping linen that arrives back from the outside laundry service and must ensure that the clean linen is available for use by the hotel’s departments when needed.
The Rooms Inspector is responsible for ensuring the efficient cleaning of guest rooms by the Housekeeping staff and to inspect their work on a daily basis, to ensure that all guest rooms are ready for guest accommodations. The Inspector also assists the Housekeeping Management staff with daily duties.
Banquet Server - On Call
The Banquet Server is responsible for the prompt, courteous and efficient service of food & beverage to guests at banquet functions.
Banquet Houseperson - On Call
The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for setting up, breaking down, cleaning and refreshing banquet function spaces in a timely manner according to specifications.
Steward - On Call
The main function of the Steward is to ensure the cleanliness of the food and beverage space including the kitchen and store rooms. They are responsible for operating all dishwashing equipment to sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, pots, pans, glass, and cutlery.
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the property and guest rooms of the hotel are maintained in the best possible condition, with the least inconvenience to guests. The Engineer is expected to perform routine maintenance and mechanical repair duties, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers and carpentry.
Assistant Chief Engineer
The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department. In the absence of the Chief Engineer, the assistant will assume the administrative, financial and operating aspects of the hotel as they relate to engineering.
- At least 3 years progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 2-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- 4-year college degree preferred
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required
- Must have the ability to obtain a Boiler Operators’ license within 90 days of hire date.
- Rhode Island Refrigeration License preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
